So if you remember from a few posts ago, I’ve started playing around with felt. Well my latest project which I’m super proud of is I have made 2 felt octopus, that are totally adorable!
Isn’t it freaking adorable? This is the first one that I made – I made her on the 10th of June, and she took me almost 9 hours to make. But I’m so proud of her! ❤
So, I decided to be the crazy person that I am and make a second one, but this one wouldn’t be all one color – it would have rainbow tentacles. So I made it today, and it took me 4 hours shorter – just 5 hours. 😀 And I think it turned out pretty good!
It makes me really happy, with how it turned out! ❤
So this has been my latest crafty project. ^_^ And they are a bit of a challenge at times to make. Lots of small stitches, but hey, I’ve managed to do it twice now, and I’m happy with the results both times. That’s a plus, right? ^_^
Neither of these two cuties have names yet – I’m still waiting to figure out names that seem to work for them both. But we’ll see – and hopefully a name will come to me for them both! ^_^
Just wanted to share these adorable little octopuses with y’all!
Hope that you are all having a great June so far! 😀
So it’s been way too long since I’ve posted here, so I decided that I’d start it off with an adorable little chicke that I made this afternoon out of felt and two little black beads for it’s eyes. I’m rather proud of how it came out. Yay for productive creative moods! Now to get my creative moods to work with me when it comes to my editing for my NaNo Novel – do any of you have any creative ways to try to get me motivated to edit? Because I really do need to edit… like soon!
Anyways, nothing really new here – I am still waiting to hear back from schools as to which ones accepted me for Fall of ’13… getting nervous as I find out what schools accepted me on the 1st of March… And that’s fast approaching. Gah! Getting antsy!
I am starting volunteering at an Equine Rescue Center starting on Saturday. I’ll be going to an orientation that all people who want to work hands on with the horses have to go through. I’m excited, it’s been way too long since I’ve even been around horses. Hopefully this is fun and nice!
Fingers crossed, right?
As I wrote this, I am listening to Doctor Who episodes playing – David Tennant was an amazing doctor. And I was sad when he regenerated. But at least we do have other episodes that I can re-watch of his, right?
I’ve also been doing a lot of thinking about things, and I think it may be time for me to try to make changes in my life, not that I want to, but sometimes it’s a necessary thing to do – to save my own sanity. Although I don’t handle change all that well. We’ll see how that goes.
Sorry that this post isn’t any longer, but I do hope that you all are doing well. Keeping warm till Spring – if you are in the Northern Hemisphere – or not melting – if you are in the Southern Hemisphere (hope it cools down a bit for y’all soon)!
Love to you all!
Day 18 – Craft books
Seeing as I am a self taught photographer and therefore have no craft books on photography, this was my clever idea.
I’m a Deaf Studies major and I have a lot of Book on Sign Language so here you go – my ‘craft’ books. Haha! I thought it was clever. 😉
Anyways, I don’t have time for a long post today as I’m headed out the door to get to my Anthropology class on time.
Day 2 – Your craft tools
(Not really just that camera but any camera, as well as my hands and myself of course! :D)
Day 3 – An old FO
(And I’ve decided to just make it about art in general, and this was something I did for my watercolor class a few semesters back)
Because I totally spaced on uploading Day 2 yesterday, here are both of them, today. ^_^
