Adorable Felt Creatures

So if you remember from a few posts ago, I’ve started playing around with felt. Well my latest project which I’m super proud of is I have made 2 felt octopus, that are totally adorable!

OctopusIsn’t it freaking adorable? This is the first one that I made – I made her on the 10th of June, and she took me almost 9 hours to make. But I’m so proud of her! ❀

So, I decided to be the crazy person that I am and make a second one, but this one wouldn’t be all one color – it would have rainbow tentacles. So I made it today, and it took me 4 hours shorter – just 5 hours. πŸ˜€ And I think it turned out pretty good!

DSCF8180DSCF8181DSCF8182DSCF8183It makes me really happy, with how it turned out! ❀

So this has been my latest crafty project. ^_^ And they are a bit of a challenge at times to make. Lots of small stitches, but hey, I’ve managed to do it twice now, and I’m happy with the results both times. That’s a plus, right? ^_^

Neither of these two cuties have names yet – I’m still waiting to figure out names that seem to work for them both. But we’ll see – and hopefully a name will come to me for them both! ^_^

Just wanted to share these adorable little octopuses with y’all!

Hope that you are all having a great June so far! πŸ˜€

Colors are coming back…! ^_^

So before I go any farther, I just wanted to appoligize for the bombardment of photos that I’ve included in this post. I’ve just been making little felt things, and I just felt the need to share pictures of them all with y’all!

So here y’all go! The blog post of lots of photos!! πŸ˜€

So I’ve been in the yard a bit and on the deck, and I’ve been captivated by the flowers that are starting to grow. This is one of the ones that mom has growing in a pot on our back deck, so pretty! I just love all the shades of purple.. So gorgeous!ImageThen we also have daffodils growing in the front yard, which I just had to go and get a picture of a few. This is one of the pictures that turned out pretty good here:

I just love the varying shades of yellow! Anyways, I just had to share those with you. On the news of the previous post, with the little chickies, I’ve made a few of them – 6 to be exact.

Here they are, each one by itself in order (red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple – even though the yellow one appeared in the previous post, I’m re-posting it again):

So those are my rainbow chickies, and then I also have made two owls and a dragon fly, as well.

Here is the dragonfly:

And then the two owls, I had fun playing around the the colours in these:

So there you go! Those are the little crafty projects that I’ve been doing over the last week – but most of them were made last Thursday and Friday, more out of boredom than anything else.

So onto another non crafty topic: I find out tomorrow which schools accepted me for the Fall ’13 year. I only applied to 2 schools – CSUN and CSUS but I really am hoping for CSUN, because I am in love with their Deaf Studies program… HOPEFULLY I got into CSUN! CSUS is my back up school and if that is the only one that has accepted me, then I’ll make it work. I will be close to home if I do get into that one, so that’ll be ok. But we’ll just have to wait till tomorrow, but by this time tomorrow I should know either way from both schools… EXCITED! EEEEE! We’ll see!

Anyways, I need to go and find something to snack on, I’m hungry! Mom’s had food in the crock pot cooking all day and it’s been tainting me with its yummy smells all day!

I’ll try to post sooner than later!

Have a great day everyone!

Day 19 – May

19. Where I slept

My first night back at my parents, and I am remembering how much I’ve missed my bed here – it’s way bigger than my bed at school, plus it’s way more comfortable!

Not saying that my bed at school isn’t comfortable, it kinda is, to an extent. But my bed here at home is way better and is just totally amazing! I love it! ❀

Yeah, so here y’all go! My bed – I even made it for y’all! πŸ˜‰

Well, kinda made it! πŸ˜›

I’m off to do something – not sure what yet. πŸ˜›

Summer holidays is uponΒ  me! -happy dance- But at the same time, I’m not really sure what to do with myself! >.<;

I’m so used to always having something to do that’s school related, but now I don’t… weird feeling! Good but weird! πŸ˜›

Anyways, off to figure out what to do now! ROFL!

Oh, before I sign off, I want to share the rainbows my crystal that I have in my room makes – I got a few pictures. Very rainbow-y in color. πŸ˜‰

I like how in the bottom one, you can see a rainbow within the crystal itself. Pretty pretty! Just had to share!

Anyways, really signing off for now! (longer post than usual because I’m actually typing this on an actual computer, and not on my iPod as most of my posts have done – at home on my parents computer! :D)

Tata for now! -waves and skips off to do something ‘summer-like’!-

Day 16 and Second Chance Prom

Day 16 – Texture

Taken awhile back but nature is full of beautiful textured things! ❀

I just love the surprises that those textured things you'll find in nature throw at you – like in this one. ❀

Ok, I'm off to watch a movie for my Critical Thinking class.

Oh, and I have to say, prom on Saturday went brilliantly!

That’s how I my hair was done up for the dance.

My whole get up, although I did end up wearing flats because they were more comfortable. πŸ™‚ Despite wearing flats, my feet were killing me at the end of the night.

Close up of the back of my head, I refused to let her use any hair spray, only Bobby pins.

This was part of what we did after putting table cloths on all the tables on Saturday morning, making rainbow keychains. The dance was put on by the Rainbow Alliance and it was a chance for those who didn’t get a chance to go to their prom in HS because their school didn’t allow it or wasn’t all inclusive. This dance was am all inclusive, come with whomever, wear whatever- just be yourself dance. It was amazing! ❀
For those of you interested in finding out more on the Second Chance Prom that went on here, here is the page about it that’s on my schools website.

Ok, now that I went on a bit of a ramble there, I’m off to watch this movie.

Bye for now!

Day 15

Day 15 – A new skill

I have to say that my rainbow eggs qualify as a new skill – I’m in love with their awesome rainbow-ness!

Ok, back to homework. Haha! Fun fun fun! /SARCASM!/

Day 8 and Happy Easter!

Day 8 – Challenging

I was dying eggs with my mom today and I decided to try to make a rainbow egg using only the primary colors, it was definitely a challenge, but thankfully they turned out looking pretty nifty!

And now my fingers have different colours all over them, but it was so worth it! ❀

Also a big Happy Easter to those of you who celebrate! πŸ˜€
